Some Early Album News
September 30, 2003 9:33 PM
In an article over at RollingStone.com that is centered on Coldplay's involvement with the Make Trade Fair campaign, a few interesting details about Coldplay's 3rd album were revealed. For one, they will apparently be recording in Chicago, and I'll let Chris tell the rest:
"We're gonna try to make a record that will get us inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Right now we've got some songs that sound like we want to be the Cure. That's because we do."
As I find more and more tidbits about the already much-anticipated album, I'll post them here.

Coldplay Lead Q Nominations
September 24, 2003 8:32 PM
Coldplay are heading the nominations for this year's Q Awards.
The double Brit winners are up for best band in the world as well as best single (for Clocks), best video (The Scientist) and best live performers in the magazine's annual celebration of the past year.
Up against the quartet for world's best act are Radiohead an annual fixture in the category as well as Blur, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Foo Fighters. Winners will be announced at a ceremony in London on October 2.
Coldplay have exceeded their success in 2000 when their debut release Parachutes helped them to three nominations.
Despite making the Mercury Music Prize shortlist, the band lead by Chris Martin failed to get a mention in the best album category for their A Rush Of Blood To The Head LP.
Instead the prize will be fought for by Blur (Think Tank), Radiohead (Hail To The Thief), Feeder (Comfort In Sound), White Stripes (Elephant) and 50 Cent (Get Rich Or Die Tryin').
