Chris Martin to Appear on 'Extras'

September 04, 2006 4:24 PM

Earlier this year I posted an entry about Ricky Gervais interviewing Chris Martin. According to ITV, that may not be the last time we see those two paired together:

Ricky Gervais has laughed off rumours that Tom Cruise, Paris Hilton and Brad Pitt might appear in the second series of Extras.

But he has confirmed Coldplay's Chris Martin, David Bowie, Sir Ian McKellen and Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe all appear.

'Extras' is hilarious in and of itself, but it will doubtless be memorable to see an episode starring the one and only Chris Martin.

Aimee Mann's Cover of 'The Scientist'

August 16, 2006 10:31 PM

I was listening to Radio Paradise today when I heard a familiar tune being sung by a not-so-familiar voice. I soon realized it was Coldplay's 'The Scientist' being performed by Aimee Mann.

I still prefer the original, but it's a great cover that I'd recommend all Coldplay fans listen to. To make that as easy as possible for you, I've uploaded the file for your listening pleasure. You can get it here while supplies last.

Oh, and if for some reason we reach the capacity for downloads at that location, just drop me an email and I'll put it up somewhere else.

Enjoy!

For those who haven't noticed yet, there is a TV ad for Oliver Stone's film, World Trade Center, that features snippets from 'Fix You'. Keep an eye (or ear) out for it.
