Videos of Chris and Gwyneth at Jay-Z Concert
October 01, 2006 9:51 AM
As noted here previously, Chris Martin performed with Jay-Z at the Royal Albert Hall on Wednesday, and fortunately for all of us, videos of Chris performing have been put up over at ohnotheydidn't. In addition, there's one clip of Chris' wife Gwyneth Paltrow contributing backing vocals to one of Jay-Z's tracks. Apparently it was her birthday the next day (Sept. 28) so Jay-Z got the crowd to sing to her.

More Hiatus Rumors
September 30, 2006 9:35 PM
I just wanted to point out there there are some articles online today making claims that Coldplay may not release another album for five years. Please, as you read these articles, remember to take them with a grain of salt. I can remember several times in the past where these same types of rumors have arisen after the release of an album and a successful tour. Then, lo and behold, a new Coldplay album appears only a year or so later. It may be true that the band wants to take some time to tend to their new families, but I'd be surprised if the guys don't get back in the studio in the coming year or two.

Justin Timberlake 'Snubbed' Again
September 27, 2006 12:26 AM
Justin Timberlake has revealed that Chris Martin from Coldplay refused to sing on his new album 'Future Sex/Love Sounds'.
"I'd like to get Chris Martin in the studio but he won't sing on anything but Coldplay stuff. I respect him and I hate him for that," says JT.
Justin obviously hasn't heard that Chris stepped into the studio with Nelly Furtado to record a track for her recent album 'Loose' which was later dropped from the album.

Chris to Perform With Jay-Z
September 27, 2006 12:23 AM
Jay Z will be joined by Chris Martin live on-stage at the Royal Albert Hall this week, according to reports.
The Coldplay star, who appears on the comeback album from the hip hop legend, is expected to join him in a collaboration at the landmark gig in London on Wednesday.
Jay Z celebrated the end of his self-imposed exiled from the music business with a star-studded comeback show at Wembley Arena in London on Sunday evening.
He was joined on-stage by girlfriend Beyonce Knowles for live takes on "Crazy In Love" and "Deja Vu", while his former nemesis Nas also made an appearance.
The greatest hits set included tracks such as "99 Problems", "Girls, Girls, Girls", "H To The Izzo" and "Encore", plus a section paying tribute to a string of deceased rap stars.
Jay Z's show at the Royal Albert Hall, which is expected to feature a number of special guests alongside Chris Martin, is the first hip hop show at the world famous venue.
"Kingdom Come", the new Jay Z album, is scheduled for release on November 27.
