Philly, Oasis and Hidden Goodies

While I still haven't heard much about the Boston or Philly shows, I did get an email from "Drew17s" who told me the Philly setlist was the same as the Washington D.C. show (see previous news). He did say there was on exception, though: the band closed with "Lips Like Sugar" (Echo and the Bunnymen cover) in the 2nd encore, rather than the new, untitled song.
According to NME, toward the end of Coldplay's set at the Bowery Ballroom in New York last night, Chris Martin told all those in attendance that the show was officially over, but anyone that wanted to stay for a few surprises should.
He then played a cover of Oasis' 'Songbird,' which got a nice ovation from Noel Gallagher himself, who was in the audience with his brother Liam. Apparently Gwyneth Paltrow was also among those who were spotted in the audience last night.
If you haven't been to arushofbloodtothehead.com lately, you should return, because exclusive in-studio video footage is available from the making of the album. The people running that site are doing a great job of keeping it interesting...who knows what may still be up their sleeves!
