Coldplay Announce 'Twisted Logic' Tour

Coldplay will launch the Twisted Logic Tour in North America on August 2nd in Toronto. The tour will follow the British band's release of its third album, X&Y, on June 7th. Alt-punk foursome Rilo Kiley will open the thirty-six-date trek, which wraps up in Bristow, Virginia, on September 30th.

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin told Rolling Stone that writing the much-anticipated X&Y wasn't easy. "We went through so many different emotions and ideas," he said. "We went down so many different paths." Ultimately, the record brought the group closer together. "We learned how to be a band again, really," says drummer Will Champion. "We got back that spark that we felt when we first joined a band together."

The band has been giving fans a sneak preview of X&Y at festivals such as California's Coachella and last weekend's HFStival in Baltimore, Maryland, as well as a batch of small club gigs. Coldplay will also perform on the season finale of Saturday Night Live in New York on May 21st.

Tickets for the tour go on sale on June 4th.
