What Might Have Been

There's a very revealing and postive article about Johnny Cash at The New York Times' website. It goes into great detail concerning the songs Johnny Cash had recorded before his death, and even some of the songs he was planning to record had he lived longer. For the most part, the article has little to do with Coldplay, but the following caught my eye toward the very end:
"'There are a couple of songs that it just breaks my heart that we didn't get to do,' Mr. Rubin said. He mentioned the Stevie Wonder hit 'A Place in the Sun' and a song written for Cash by Chris Martin of Coldplay."
It is a real shame that we may never hear Chris' song sung by such a legend, but maybe Chris will end up performing it in his honor. Guess we'll have to wait and see...
