Coldplay Reaching 'Britney-level'

Joan Anderman has written an excellent article on Coldplay for the Boston Globe titled Coldplay unfazed by fame. In the article, Joan touches upon the band's ability to strike a chord among the musical tastes of a great number of people. She also compares the sheer volume of their record sales to those of pop singer Britney Spears, and says that Coldplay may eventually "inherit U2's mantle." Any and all Coldplay fans should read this article, because it is one of those that comes along so rarely in today's world of media mediocrity.
