Chris' Take on New Album

In an interview Chris did with Q magazine prior to their show at Glastonbury, he explained the meaning behind a few of the new songs from "A Rush of Blood to the Head."
"The new single is In My Place. It's basically the tune that kept us together last year. Jonny Buckland's guitar riff is my favourite riff of his ever."
"The Scientist is the only song we've ever written and recorded all on the same day. It's about when you start analyzing things too much."
It sounds like 'Clocks' was almost held back for a later album because Chris has stated, worryingly, that "There's a death obsession round the band at the moment".
And finally, as for 'Politik?' "It's turned into the loudest song we've ever done."
