Tour Going Well

Besides the rumors that Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow are engaged, Coldplay's current tour has been the talk of the town(s) lately. Marisa wrote in about a week ago to give details about an intimate acoustic session that Chris and Jonny put on just before the University of Miami show on January 22nd. Apparently toward the end of the show Chris threw in a line from Missy Elliot's 'Work It,' saying "lay it down, flip it and reverse it." Pretty funny!
Joseph wrote in to say that the Grady Cole Center, North Carolina show was great, and Clark reported that the show at the Ryman in Nashville "kicked ass." Paolo wrote in concerning the February 27th show in Wallingford, Connecticut to say that "they were just excellent. The whole show was a blast and they did a great job. They made everyone excited and pulled the audience in." Thanks for the emails, guys!
In semi-related news, you can catch a replay of Coldplay's latest gig in Atlanta today at 8pm Eastern over at www.99x.com. According to Sam (in the guestbook) there was a new song played during the show and some Elton John, so you won't want to miss it! Thanks, Sam.
And in non-tour news, there is apparently a "Making of the Video" type deal over at the Australian Channel [V] website that features Coldplay and the making of their new video for 'Clocks.' If you're interested in watching, check out new.channelv.com.au. And finally, tune in to NBC on the night of March 11th, as The Conan O'Brian Show will be repeating their September 26, 2002 program with Coldplay. Thanks to Sally and Toni for sending both of those tips in!
