Grammys and More

As you probably have heard by now, Coldplay has been nominated for two Grammy awards this year, one for 'Best Alternative Music Album,' and the other for 'Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group With Vocal' (for 'In My Place').
As it turns out, they have also been slated to perform at the ceremony, which takes place February 23rd at New York's Madison Square Garden. The show is scheduled to be broadcast on CBS in the United States. Check your local listings for the time.
Dotmusic is reporting that the band 'Feeder' will be supporting Coldplay when they play their arena gigs in the UK on April 14th, 16th and 17th (the shows are already sold out). Chances are they will be releasing 'Clocks' as a single in the UK to coincide with the shows.
As for the U.S. tour, Coldplay is excited to have their label mates touring with them. Chris Martin hopes that 'Music,' whose debut album goes on sale on February 25th, will make the jump from opener to headliner before long. He had the following to say about Coldplay's leap, "Of course, I think wow, you know, we went from playing in a matchbox to playing in this big festival, you know, but that's because we really believe we can do something special, so it's a mixture of real surprise and real arrogance."
And finally, the reviews are already coming in for Coldplay's recent shows. Jennifer was nice enough to write in and share some thoughts on the January 24th Birmingham, Alabama show. She said "I had to travel to see them, but it was well worth it. They are so awesome live. The CD doesn't do them justice. They are wonderful performers. I was thrilled by the show and hope that everyone attending [one of the upcoming concerts] has an experience as great as mine!" Thanks Jennifer!
