Sorry for the lack of news lately, but since it's been over a month since the release of 'A Rush of Blood to the Head' and we still have time before the release of 'The Scientist,' there hasn't been much going on in the Coldplay arena.
, one of the B-sides, and Simon Pegg, star of TV comedies including 'Spaced', 'Hippies' and 'Big Train', provides backing vocals on the track. Should make for an interesting song!
Here's an interesting piece of news: Aversion is reporting that Coldplay will make a cameo appearance in "Slasher," a horror movie being made by the band members of Ash. Apparently Moby, Dave Grohl and The Hives will make appearances as well. Coldplay sad? Sure. Serious? Sure. Scary? I don't know about that.
In its fifth week on the U.S. albums chart, 'A Rush of Blood to the Head' is holding strong at #15, just two spots down from its #13 hold last week. Also, as you probably already know, most radio stations typically stick to singles when it comes to promoting bands' new releases. However, 107.7 The End in Seattle has been going against that policy, playing 'Clocks' in their regular rotation. If anyone else has heard non-single tracks played on your local radio station(s), I'd love to hear about it.
And lastly, check out Coldplay's Official Site for reviews of Coldplay's latest UK shows. Hopefully I'll have a few of my own here before long (but that depends on you, the fans). More soon...
